Botox Injections, for a More Youthful You!
Botox injections are one of the most popular cosmetic treatments in the world. More than six million Botox treatments are administered to women and men every year.
Botox is most frequently used to reduce or eliminate the parallel lines or “furrows” found between the eyes, reduce vertical lines on the forehead, and soften “crow’s feet” around the eyes.
Schedule a consultation at one of our convenient Detroit area locations – Midtown, Warren or Hamtramck – to see how Botox Cosmetic can give you a fresher, more rested, relaxed and youthful appearance.
HOW BOTOX WORKS
Botox workS by blocking nerve signals to the muscles in the face that contract and cause wrinkles and lines. As the muscles relax, the appearance of facial lines and wrinkles is reduced.
Botox is a type of “neurotoxin” that temporarily paralyzes the muscles. However, it is extremely safe when administered in a doctor’s office by a licensed doctor, nurse or healthcare professional.
HOW LONG BOTOX LASTS
The softening effects on the facial lines and wrinkles usually become visible in just a few hours after a Botox injection. And after about a week, the full effects of the Botox should be visible.
Botox freezes muscle movements for up to 6 months. Many of our Detroit area patients come in twice a year to maintain their youthful appearance, and keep crow’s feet, and forehead lines and wrinkles away!
HOW LONG BOTOX INJECTIONS TAKE
The Botox injection process only takes 10 to 20 minutes! However, our doctors allow extra time to assess your skin and discuss your appearance goals and expectations.
Then we put together a custom Botox treatment plan that is right for your unique needs and your budget.
HOW MANY BOTOX INJECTIONS ARE NEEDED
To treat “crow’s feet” with Botox, our doctors commonly inject 3 areas of the muscle that frames the side of each “eye socket” or orbicularis oculi. Three more Botox injections are then repeated on the other eye.
To treat “frown lines” between the eyes with Botox, our skilled doctors will commonly use 5 injections into muscles in the forehead. One Botox injection is typically put into the procerus muscle, while four Botox injections may be used for the corrugator muscles.
