Additional Women’s Health Services

Hutzel Women’s Health Specialists was founded in 2007 by a group of physicians who were active in the academic OB/GYN department at the Detroit Medical Center/Wayne State University School of Medicine. The practice was established when the doctors saw the need for a vibrant private practice in the Metro Detroit area.

We provide a comprehensive range of obstetric and gynecology services. In addition, we offer several other women’s health services.

Cosmetic Gynecology in Detroit, Warren, Hamtramck, MI | Hutzel Women’s Health Specialists

Urodynamic Testing

Urodynamic testing is used to diagnose problems with storing and releasing urine. The symptoms related to lower urinary tract problems can include: urinary leakage, frequent or painful urination, sudden urges to urinate, inability to start a urine stream, inability to fully empty the bladder, or frequent urinary tract infections.

Urodynamic testing can be based on simple observation, instruments that observe the filling and emptying of the bladder, and other techniques. Once diagnosed, your doctor will discuss the results and form a treatment plan.

Cosmetic Gynecology

We offer services from the growing field of cosmetic gynecology. These procedures improve the appearance and function of female genitals. After childbirth, a woman may experience a looseness in the vaginal area, causing self-consciousness and a decrease in enjoyment during intimacy.

The vagina can be tightened with a simple surgical procedure to enhance function, feeling, and aesthetics. For more information on any of these services, contact the location nearest you.
